Guess Who’s Back? Keek Makes a Comeback with a Bang!

I reviewed Keek for Android in 2015 when it first launched (wow, can’t believe it’s been 9 years already). Anyway, the app was launched in 2011 and was available on the appstores until sometime after 2016 – not sure exactly when it went down, but it was probably around 2017. I felt bad, because I liked their idea of short videos – somehow they had the great idea that Tiktok was built on, but way before they launched.

Anyway, guess what? I’ve recently received an email from them saying that Keek is back, and according to their announcement it’s better than ever! If you’ve missed the good old days of short and sweet video sharing, you should definitely try the revamped Keek app.

I honestly haven’t had the time to review the new version, but here’s what seems to be new in the revamped version:

  • Longer Videos, More Creativity! First things first – say goodbye to those time constraints! Keek is now giving you more room to unleash your creativity with longer videos. So, whether you’re showcasing your talent, sharing your adventures, or just having some fun, you now have the space to do it all!
  • New Filters and Effects Galore! What’s a video-sharing app without cool filters and effects, right? Keek understands your needs, and they’ve got you covered. The latest update brings a ton of new filters and effects to add that extra flair to your videos. Spice things up, get creative, and let your personality shine through!

  • Full Suite of Editing Tools! Keek has seriously upped its editing game. From basic cropping to advanced features like splitting, overlays, transitions, and AR masks – you now have a full suite of editing tools at your fingertips. The power is in your hands to make your videos stand out and truly represent your unique style.
  • AI-Powered ‘Fire Posts’ for the Win! Hold on tight because Keek has integrated AI technology into the ‘fire post’ feature. What does this mean for you? Well, it’s your ticket to visibility! By using the ‘fire post’ feature, you can catapult your content to the masses, increasing your followers and likes in the process. It’s like giving your posts a turbo boost – how cool is that?

I really hope Keek catches on and we get to start sharing keeks with other keekers, keeking it for real (just couldn’t resist the temptation, now that Twitter is going through a rebranding and we won’t be able to use it as a verb). The new Keek is available for both iOS and Android.
