Squeeze Studios, one of the few great things that come out from Canada (I’m joking of course, there’s also Ryan Reynolds and Keanu Reeves) just released their 2024 showreel (if you don’t know what showreel is, that’s basically a short video showcasing their previous animation work in films & other media).

Squeeze Studios provides world-class 3D animation services to creators and producers of animated films, TV series, commercials, video games (trailers and cinematics) and theme parks content.

Squeeze specializes in high-quality CG animation, creating character animations with a strong personality. The studio stands out for its ability to provide solid technical execution, coupled with a high level of artistic performance, thanks to its experienced and talented team.

Squeeze is also the creator of Cracké, an animated TV series broadcasted in over 210 territories and counting over 450 million views worldwide on digital platforms. The animated series features Ed, a paranoid dad ostrich desperately trying to protect his eight eggs from danger.

They are one of my favorite animation studios, and most likely you’ve seen their work in games and movies such as:

  • Cracké Family Scramble
  • Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
  • Marvel’s What if…?
  • Batman – Gotham Knights
  • Ubisoft’s Invincible: Guarding the Globe
  • Watch Dogs: Legion
  • Scavengers’ SEASON
  • Clash of Clans
  • Clash Royale
  • Sudden Attack 2
  • The Amazing Maurice
  • IMAX Dragons
  • …and a few more

You can see bits from their most popular 2023 animations here:

Aside their excellent animation work, they also gave it a try with Android games, to be more specific Cracké Rush. This was their first mobile game for Android released in 2020. Unfortunately they’ve discontinued the project, but I do hope they’ll try to release something new because they’re just great at animations. If you’ve played Clash of Clans or Clash Royale, just take into consideration that a lot of their trailers/mini-movies were created by Squeeze Studios. So kudos to them and hope they continue their great work, especially in the Android gaming area.
