Duolingo promo codes (February 2024) – the key to free Super subscriptions

If you’ve ever tried learning a new language in the past 5 years, I’m sure you’ve heard of Duolingo. This is an app (Android, web and the other) that is meant to be a helpful tool when trying to learn a new language. It helps you by using gamification to keep you focused on your learning goal. Has daily quests, chests, friends that you can connect with, competing leaderboards and much more. In essence, if you want an auxiliary tool to help you learn a new language, Duolingo should be on your list. Duolingo promo codes

However, chances are you’re already a Duolingo user and came here looking for promo codes. Yes, Duolingo has support for promo codes but only if you’re using the mobile app (you cannot redeem codes via the web app).

The Duolingo promo codes can be used to redeem various rewards or benefits within the Duolingo language learning app. These rewards can include free Duolingo Plus subscriptions (usually 1-month subscriptions), gems (the in-app currency), XP bonuses and also some discounts for their paid plan (called Super). Thing is though, Duolingo occasionally offers these promo codes as part of promotional campaigns, partnerships, or special events and they’re rather difficult to find and use. Don’t get mad if some stopped working, these promo codes tend to be time-limited but lucky for you, Duolingo will share new ones every special event they get the chance to celebrate (i.e. Halloween, Black Friday, …).

How to redeem Duolingo promo codes

Once you have a Duolingo promo code, using it is easy as long as you open the Duolingo mobile app (you won’t find this option in the web version):

1. Start Duolingo: Open the Duolingo app on your device and log in to your account if you’re not already logged in.
2. Go to the Shop: Just tap on the amount of diamonds you have, that will open the in-app shop page.
3. Scroll down: All the way down on the shop page there’s a Promo Codes section. Tap on the Redeem button.
4. Enter the Promo Code: A screen or prompt will appear where you can enter the promo code. Type in the code exactly as provided, including any uppercase letters and special characters. Be careful to avoid any typos.
5. Redeem the Code: Once you’ve entered the code, tap on the “Redeem” button. If the code is valid, you will receive the associated reward, which might include Duolingo Plus, Gems, or other benefits. If not you’ll get an error that it expired

Again, don’t despair if some of these codes don’t work. Most promo codes I’ve used had limited time availability, so as soon as you find a code try to redeem it. How useful is Duolingo in learning a new app

This is a subject for another post, but I thought I’d share my 2 cents here as well. You won’t accomplish language fluency by simply using Duolingo. The most you can achieve is basic understanding of the new language, some conversation abilities and that’s about it. So Duolingo by itself it’s not any miracle new language learning app.

However, Duolingo can be a useful tool for language learning, as long as you have strong language learning goals and a strategy.

Here is what Duolingo can help with:

1. Supplementary Tool: Duolingo can be a valuable supplementary tool in your language learning journey. It provides structured lessons, vocabulary practice, and exercises that can help reinforce your language skills.
2. Accessibility: Duolingo is accessible to a wide range of learners, including beginners. It’s user-friendly and available on various platforms, making it convenient for many people.
3. Motivation: The app uses gamification elements, such as earning points, streaks, and achievements, which can help motivate users to practice regularly.
4. Vocabulary Building: Duolingo is excellent for building vocabulary and basic grammar skills. It introduces you to a variety of words and phrases in the target language.
5. Listening and Pronunciation: Duolingo includes listening and pronunciation exercises, which can help improve your ability to understand spoken language and your pronunciation.

Obviously there are also limitations when using Duolingo, and these are a few of them:
