Unity has announced a few weeks back a Unity AI Beta Program. They released a teaser mentioning that the Unity AI will offer exciting possibilities for game creators who want to make their creations even better. Supposedly the AI will result in quicker and more efficient creation and delivery of impressive real-time 3D content and experiences for billions of users worldwide.

I’ve signed up for their Unity AI Beta program right when it launched (you can also do that here) and today I received an email that I was accepted in their Unity AI Preview Group:

We’re thrilled that you want to know more about how Unity is bringing generative AI tools and capabilities to creators.

As AI-powered creation evolves, we’re committed to delivering powerful new technology and tools, and working directly with users like you to shape its evolution in a fair and ethical way.

As part of the Unity AI preview group, you will:

  • Be the first to learn more about how Unity is bringing AI and machine learning to game creation
  • Get early access to our developing AI tools and technology
  • Have an opportunity to provide feedback and insights to help shape our AI product roadmap

Stay tuned – we’ll have additional updates to share in the next few weeks.

I have a hunch that pretty soon they’ll launch the beta program and I’ll be among the first to test it. Yay, really hope it will speed up game creation and not be a buggy tool.

Just got another email from them announcing 2 new additions to the Unity AI beta program:

  • Unity Sentis – Powered by their cross-platform game engine, Unity Sentis easily enables AI models in the Unity Runtime, greatly enhancing your game or app on user devices.
  • Unity Muse – Fueled by next-generation AI, Unity Muse enables creators of all skill levels to develop games and real-time 3D experiences lightning fast with simple text-based prompts.

This is their original message:

Today, we’re excited to unveil our two new AI products: Unity Muse for creation and Unity Sentis to help bring real-time 3D worlds to life on user devices. We’re excited for you to be among the first to learn more about these products as part of our AI Preview group.

We’ll also be inviting small groups into closed betas throughout the summer to explore, validate, and define our AI offerings by working closely with creators like you.
