I’ve started using Sweatcoin almost 4 months ago, and have been using it continuously ever since. That’s mainly because it did help me move more than before when I was simply using Google Fit to track my steps. The combination of gamification & rewards is what gives me impulses here and then to push a bit more – that’s good, that’s the main purpose I’ve installed it for, to help me move more.

Thing is that a while back I’ve started telling other people about Sweatcoin, and a few people signed up. That’s how I’ve entered their Sweatcoin Influencer Program – don’t worry, you just need to refer 20 users to get access to it.

I wanted to share my personal experience with the Sweatcoin Influencer Program, as I’ve seen discussions about whether or not it’s legitimate. I can confirm that they do indeed pay their influencers for referred users, and I’m a living example of it.

How the Sweatcoin Influencer Program works

The Sweatcoin Influencer Program is a way for users to earn rewards for promoting the Sweatcoin app. To become an influencer, you need to invite at least 20 new users to download and install the app using your unique referral link. You get that unique referral link right from the main screen under “Invite friends & win BIG”, mine for instance is this one: https://swcapp.com/i/claudes

Once 20 of your referred users download and install the app using the unique referral link, you’ll gain access to the Influencer Hub within the app.

In the Influencer Hub, you can track your successful invites and redeem them for rewards. Each reward unlocks itself after you’ve hit the threshold they’ve set up in there. For instance, this is how much you can earn depending on how many users you refer:

Basically you can start as low as $10 for 20 referred users, and go up to $1,000 for 1,800 referred users. The highest bonus I’ve unlocked at once was $45. Obviously the more people you invite, the bigger the cash rewards you can unlock. This creates a great incentive to keep promoting the app.

Getting paid: Yes, they pay!

One of the biggest questions I see online is about the payout. I can tell you from my own experience that Sweatcoin does pay. While the terms and conditions mention payment via PayPal, I’ve opted to be paid through Bitrefill credit. It’s great to have these options, whether you prefer cash or credit for other services. I prefer Bitrefill because from there you can buy gift cards for various services you want access to. These are the payment options available:

  • PayPal: Payment will be sent to the email address you provide. You receive an email directly from PayPal once the transfer is made. You just have to ensure that your PayPal account can receive USD payments from abroad and has no restrictions.
  • Bitrefill: If PayPal isn’t available in your country or would like to use the reward to get gift cards, you’ll receive a Bitrefill gift card code. This can be redeemed on www.bitrefill.com/redeem for mobile top-ups or store gift cards.

Here’s the process once you unlock a reward:

  • You tap on it to claim the reward, and get a pin number
  • You then go to a Typeform form where you have to enter that pin number and other necessary details. For instance your name, the channels you’ve been promoting Sweatcoin through and how you want to be paid.
  • You receive a notification after sending the claim that your payment will be processed in up to 3 working days. I received it after 3 days, it was an automated email with a link to claim the reward.

The process is straightforward: you redeem your invites for a reward, and the payment is processed. The fact that I’ve been paid for my referrals makes me feel confident in the program and motivates me to continue promoting an app that encourages a healthier lifestyle. After they approve the payment, you’ll receive another email just like this one with your reward:

Why I recommend the Sweatcoin Influencer Program

These rewards are a small bonus, I agree it does give you an extra incentive. But beyond that I do believe that Sweatcoin helps me stay a bit more motivated towards exercising more. It’s a free app that motivates people to be more active by turning their steps into a digital currency. The program itself is well-supported, with a dedicated team and a community of like-minded influencers. I’ve also recorded a video of it just to give an idea on how Sweatcoin works:

If you’re already a fan of Sweatcoin and have a social media following, the Influencer Program is a good way to get an extra incentive while promoting a positive and healthy message. It’s a win-win situation.
