Just as fring, Nimbuzz for Android is another app that you can use to make voip calls from your Android phone, basically a Skype replacement. Nimbuzz is an all-in-one messenger, that let you connect all your friends from different networks into a single interface. Nimbuzz currently supports the following services: AIM, Google Talk, Hyves, ICQ, Jabber, Skype, Windows LIVE (MSN), Yahoo!, Gadu Gadu, Facebook and MySpace. So any of your friends that use these platforms can be communicated with via the Nimbuzz interface, once you’ve installed it on your Android phone. This means you can make free international calls (via Skype), but you can also call regular landline and mobile phones by paying some low rates. Here’s a quick overview of what Nimbuzz does:

With Nimbuzz you can share your location and also see where your buddies are located, you can store contacts and back-up or restore them (online, so if you lose your phone you can still retrieve those). Summing up, these are the features you will have access to via Nimbuzz:
Be online available on the go

  • Chat with your friends that are on other messenger clients (aim, yahoo messenger, …)
  • Call your friends that use Skype
  • Send SMS messages
  • Send photos, videos and files
